Waking up on Coming of Age Day 成人の日 (Seijin no Hi), I was grateful both for the day away from work and for the thick quilt of snow that wrapped itself around Tokyo. The snow hit the city nearly a year after a storm of similar size. I have come to enjoy taking pictures of this now annual ritual…
Day
Atago shrine, NHK Broadcasting Museum, Kamiyacho tunnel:
Near Kamiyacho station, then the outer moat of the Imperial Palace.
And night…
Snow in Yurakucho and the edge of Ginza.

Hi Clark,
Nice to know about the Atago Shrine , looks beautiful during snowfall. I am going to certainly go the next time it snows in Tokyo. This year was pretty unlucky from that standpoint. I have a “Tokyo in Snow” section on my blog and will certainly include this in places to map the next time around. THANKS!
