Asakusa 12 stories flood Arakawa

The Arakawa floods in 1910. Here is Asakusa, with the Asakusa Twelve-stories in the background. This flood was one of the reasons for the ambitious Arakawa Floodway project, which rerouted the river in a channel 1/4 the length of the Panama Canal.
