Tokyo’s Rainbow Bridge under construction in 1993. Among other things, this bridge connects central Tokyo to the manmade Odaiba district, which was reclaimed from the waters of Tokyo Bay from the 1970s and developed in the 1990s. Rainbow Bridge carries cars as well as the Yurikamome line train, which has dramatic views of Tokyo Bay and is a pleasure to ride.
