A snowy night in Tokyo 東京の雪の夜

It doesn’t take much convincing to like Tokyo, but after a rainy weekend, what better way to re-ignite my passion than to walk home in a thick blanket of snow.

A steep and slippery climb to the summit of Atago Shrine 愛宕神社  Atago Jinja (map), the pools and fountains unaware of the wintry weather.  The NHK museum, proudly sitting astride the tallest point in Tokyo, yet humbled by its neighboring towers.  Sneaking down the backside stairs and slipping through the Kamiyacho 神谷町 tunnel.  Perhaps the snowiest night I will ever see in Japan.  Glad to be here.
