Another snowy day in Tokyo 東京の別の雪の日

10 - Kamiyacho snow street girls cross Tokyo

Waking up on Coming of Age Day 成人の日 (Seijin no Hi), I was grateful both for the day away from work and for the thick quilt of snow that wrapped itself around Tokyo. The snow hit the city nearly a year after a storm of similar size. I have come to enjoy taking pictures of this now annual ritual…

Day

Atago shrine, NHK Broadcasting Museum, Kamiyacho tunnel, the outer moat of the Imperial Palace.

And night…

Snow in Yurakucho and the edge of Ginza.

  1. Hi Clark,
Nice to know about the Atago Shrine , looks beautiful during snowfall. I am going to certainly go the next time it snows in Tokyo. This year was pretty unlucky from that standpoint. I have a “Tokyo in Snow” section on my blog and will certainly include this in places to map the next time around. THANKS!
