Interior of Electric Tobu Railway Trolley (1924)
The Tobu Museum of Transportation & Culture 東武博物館 is a nice museum not too far from central Tokyo. Just 200 yen, this train / subway / transportation museum is very kid-friendly, as there are many hands-on exhibits. Museum includes full-size historic trains, a bus, and gondola. all of which you are permitted to go inside. Exhibits include vintage train tickets, maps, advertisements, and ticket machines. Hands-on exhibits include a track-switch and two realistic train-driving simulators. Also includes two extensive model trains; a large panorama of trains in the Kanto Plain, and a scale reproduction of Baden station in Germany and its surroundings environment.
