Shinagawa Tokaido

A stroll along the old Tokaido road, south of Shinagawa (during a walk to Haneda Airport). This street also happens to be a wonderful example of “traffic calming” – although there is no raised sidewalk, the visual narrowing of the road contributes to a psychological narrowing of the road, influencing cars to drive more slowly.
